A Night to Remember!

In what was a very special and certainly unique evening, Eusebi’s were delighted to welcome Jacob Kennedy, chef and creative director of the award winning trattoria Bocca di Lupo, to our restaurant, last Friday night.

Combining their love and respect for authentic Italian cuisine, Jacob and our very own Giovanna Eusebi prepared a five-course meal, paired with fine wines and a fantastic atmosphere for what turned out to be a sold out event and a packed restaurant!

From the very beginning of the evening, there was a certain buzz around the restaurant, as you can imagine, with guests greeted with a glass of prosecco before being shown to their tables. Diners were sat both downstairs and also in an upstairs section of the restaurant, allowing us to continue serving customers in the deli who popped in to pick up their takeaway dishes.

The menu was set to impress, and that it did! Starting with Crudo Misto, with langoustine and scallop Carpaccio paired with the Villa Bucci Verdicchio Classico Superiore white wine. Moving onto a trio of Orrecchiette, this course was paired with the Pipoli 2013 red. Then the show stopper was the main of suckling pig with roast fennel, grapes and bay leaves which was paired with the exquisite Allegrini 2012 ‘La Grola’ IGT.

We were delighted to sell out this event and looked forward to serving our carefully selected menu, each course paired with a different wine. Customers enjoyed both reds and whites, and a dessert wine to finish, all of which were chosen to compliment their respective courses.

The evening, which we named ‘Eusebocca’, was a greater success than we ever could have imagined and had an amazing atmosphere. Guests commented on the variety of dishes on offer and the overall tone of the evening:

“With the buzz going on and the vast array of dishes being served, it was 11pm before we knew it!”

The event, which was organized down to the very last detail, in accordance with a mutual dedication to serving only the finest cuisine was a fantastic experience and we’re delighted that our guests enjoyed it as much as we did!
